Last Year's Letter Explaining the Trip

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I can not begin to express my deep gratitude for everyone’s prayers, support and donations. Going to Berlin was a huge eye opener. So many people there have never picked up a bible, or even heard the gospel. It’s like a dark cloud hovers over Europe and it was the most amazing thing seeing how wherever we made our mission field, the light began to penetrate through. Past trips have said that the hearts of Berliners are very closed and they don’t care to listen to what you have to say, but thanks to all the prayers sent before us, no one refused to hear what we had to say. The Berlin Trip of 08 – 1 person was saved. Trip of 09 – 2 people we were saved, this trip 23 people individually accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior. Many more have at least heard the gospel. Christophe Domes, a German evangelist, told us that our job was to share and God’s job to convince. So we continually pray for the seeds we have planted in Berlin that eventually they will choose the path of Christ.

While we were in Germany it was clear that we were in a spiritual war. You hear that phrase a lot but it never seemed more real. Again thanks to all the prayer that went up, we were sufficiently covered by the blood of Jesus to withstand any attack. I could literally feel his protection so mightily, that I was confident that I could walk anywhere, into the darkest part of Berlin, and I would be protected. It is the best feeling in the world to experience the presence of God and I was able to experience it daily. I find it so interesting that when we leave our homes it seems like we can experience God on a whole new level. I think that should give us an incentive to leave more often, because once we decide to live for Christ we have to leave our comfort zones and everyday surroundings so we can get a glance on a few of the MANY things he has and is doing for us. And that’s why we go on trips, so we can tell people the same thing. Spread the fire, spread the love.

Thank you for the opportunity to see some amazing things. I hope it encourages you to go out there and experience them as well. I couldn’t have gone on this trip without your help financially, and spiritually. Over this trip I have grown spiritually, and I thank God for the continual revelations and relationships he brought on this trip. Thank you all again!

In Christ,

Morgan Saulsberry
