30 Day Missions Trip to Berlin

Join Me in the Battle

I had a dream last night that at first scared me quite a bit. I was leaving a church, and all of a sudden demon possessed person after demon possessed person came at me as if trying to scare me away. At first I was terrified but then in my dream it seemed to click that I could tell these demons to leave with God's authority. I would command one away in the name of Jesus and it would leave but another came up in its place and this continued until I became exhausted and felt like I was never going to escape the evil that was coming down upon me. It wasn't until other friends and believers came out of the church and also spoke the name of Jesus that demons stopped coming back. Until finally they were all gone. and I woke up.
The moment I woke up, I was exhausted. That dream had drained me while I slept. But I realized that I need all the prayer and support as I go out on to this battle field this summer. I know the enemy is going to be attacking and I could use the prayers of my friends and family to keep the enemies plans from succeeding.

Ephesians 6 says:
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand...18  pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

Berlin 2013

It is my senior year of high school and I can not think of a better way to end my school year then going back to Berlin Germany for the 3rd time to work with the wonderful organization European Initiative. The people who work at EI are some of the most spiritually motivated people I have ever met and have taught me so much about what it means to share your story with someone else. Here are the some of the statistics I heard about the first time I went to Europe that left me completely shocked:

Alarming statistics that confirm Europe’s spiritual decline:

  • Europe is the least evangelized continent in the world.
  • Less than 4% of Europeans attend church regularly.
  • More than 250,000 villages, towns and cities in Europe do not have a single evangelical church.
  • There are more practicing Muslims than evangelical Christians in France.
  • 19 of the 25 highest percentages of atheists are in Europe.
  • 7 of the 10 highest suicide rates are in Europe.
  • 16 of the 20 lowest birth rates are in Europe.
  • 85% of Germans have no hope for the future.
  • 80% of the French people have never read, held, or seen a Bible.
This is why each year I send out these letters asking you to give money to send me to Europe. Your gifts are not to pay my way, but to pay THE way for these lost people to actually hear about the story of Christ that you and I are so familiar with.
For the trip, the amount for me to go is $2400 and $1200 of that is due this week (4/10/13) for me to pay for my plane ticket. I have the faith that God will deliver every cent of that money this week, and that is why I am fearlessly asking you to give towards this trip.

The Enemy has to Leave

There was this one song that our dance team performed called Your Great Name by Natalie Grant and it soon became our "Battle Song". Whenever the enemy was trying to stop what were doing we would always start dancing this song...and let me just say...the Devil did NOT like this song! Everytime it was danced, something would go wrong. [the time with the speakers...guess what song we were trying to play]. Once in at Alexanderplatz the girls had begun to dance this song and out of no where this man comes out to the girls (while they are dancing) and starts mocking them and dancing around them, but he always went around them as if he couldn't break into the circle. Well there is a part of the song that goes "The enemy, he has to leave at the sound of your great name," and at that this man starts running around their dance circle screaming "Scientology! Scientology!" Our leader Cedric stood in front of him and said "I rebuke you devil in the NAME OF JESUS!" and Immedietly this man stood straight up and saluted. and while Cedric and some other adults began to pray this man could not move as if something was holding him in place. When the dance had finished the man apologized and in a whole different voice said "I'm so sorry, I never act like that I don't know what came over me." and then he asked for more information about Jesus.
